Hi. I have a peculiar problem with Outlook 98. I have an end user that receives a forwarded message with (for example) a word or excel attachment, & is unable to do so. Instead, he gets a message that says, "The form required to view this message cannot be displayed. Contact your adminsitrator". This started happening when the company's Exchange server crashed & then was brought back up with a new information store. Users do not have problems opening attachments from sent messages, or replies...only forwarded messages. I did check all settings on server & client & everything looks right. I do have a user who has Outlook 2000 & did have the problem briefly, but is now working fine. User says that he did not make any configuration changes to his pc. Unfortunately, Outlook 98 is the corporate standard. I do have a work around...I have the user save the attachment on to their local hdd & it opens successfully...but it is not a permanent fix. Can anyone explain to me what's happening & if there is a fix?

Sounds more to me like he has an Outlook form associated with his Inbox. Select his inbox and hit Tools-Forms-Choose form. Hit the dropdown to select his inbox. See if there is a form BESIDES "message" in there. My curiosity comes with "the form required..." sounds like an Outlook form.
