Hi All,
I have a printer that was setup with "facetwin" and I don't know anything about it. Anyway, this HP LaserJet Printer is connected to a PC-windows 98 and the user can printer to it using any programs on the desktop. However, when trying to print to it from Unix command line or any Unix application, it fails with "Unable to open a socket". This printer is configured on a Unix SCO box and when looking at in Printer Manager, it appears to be setup correctly. This printer was disabled & enabled (reset) and still it fails with "Unable to open a socket". Can anyone tell me what's going on and if there is anything I can do to resolve this?
Here's the output from lpstat:
device for fct_marcia: /usr/facetwin/fct_pipes/fct_marcia
fct_marcia accepting requests since Fri Jul 13 13:45:12 2001
printer fct_marcia disabled since Fri Jan 24 15:03:51 2003. available. Unable to open a socket
Thanks in advance!
