Hello one and all. I know the answer this should be "it's a permissioning problem", but I';ve checked all that and am still hitting a brick wall.
Background - we have 2 HIServers in a subdomain. We changed the server they conenct to at the weekend and during the update to the remote MAC address we developed a problem.
On server1 we made the MAC address update to the connection no problem, and that server connected to the host OK. We then made the same change to server2 (from server1), but.....
Whilst the changes appeared OK on server1 when we looked on server2 it still held the old MAC address for the remote machine. No problem we thought. Just change the MAC address of the connection again..... That's when we started to get the "Unable to obtain write lock on config file error". Now we can not make ANY changes to server without this error appearing.
There are no COM.LOK files on either server. There are no open files and Everyone has full control over the comcfg share
If anyone has any knowledge of how I can resolve this I would be very, very thankful
Cheers
David
