We recently moved a machine out of out public network and into a DMZ. The machine was previously part of an AD domain. Before moving if we forgot to remove it from the domain. We are now trying to move the machine out of the AD domain while in the DMZ and into a workgroup and we get the following message:

The following error occured attempting to unjoin the domain .....

The specified service does not exist as an installed service

I have checked various forums and sites and have yet to find an answer. To machine is running with Windows 2000 SP4.

What happens when you change the info in network identification to reflect the workgroup instead of the domain?
