I have a very extensive database that was working fine one day. However, now I am unable to modify the switchboard. The following message appears: "The Switchboard Manager was unable to find a valid switchboard in the database. Would you like to create one?" When you select yes, it creates a duplicate of the one that I am using, but I can not add any databases to the switchboard. Any suggestions of how to change my existing switchboard, without recreating everything?

Try compacting. You should compact and back-up your database regularly.
I did compact the database, but I still get the same message. If it is of any help the problem occurred after I started to make "ControlTip Texts" and Help Menus
Joe Gallo
joe.gallo@gsiarch.com

The Switchboard Items table or the Switchboard form may be corrupt, or their enties in the MSysObjects table may be corrupt. Try opening the table and form directly in the database window and/or look for them in the Name column in the MSysObjects table. This will tell you if there is a problem with the objects themselves, the MSysObjects entry, or the Switchboard Manager.
