Can't connect to W2K VPN server even when testing on LAN. From XP workstation get error 733 - connection can't be completed may have to adjust protocols on this computer.
Event veiwer on XP box shows 2 events for each connection attempt, first says "The user Dave successfully established a connection to VPN using the device VPN7-1" Then next one says "The connection to VPN made by user Dave using device VPN7-1 was disconnected"
I even created a VPN connection right on the W2K server, figured it should be able to connect to itself, got same 733 error and Eventlog on W2K server says "The user DAVE2000\Dave connected to port VPN2-373 has been disconnected because no network protocols were successfully negotiatated"
I can remote desktop to it no prob, from LAN or over Internet, but can't get the VPN to connect even from LAN.
Once I can connect from LAN I'll try over Internet, home network is cable modem into D-Link 713p acting as DHCP server. Have ports 1723 and 47 pointing to W2K server IP to let VPN through.
Very frustrating, any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Dave
