Unable to make shapes or lines. Bounding box is not visible.

I am unable to make any shapes or lines using the rectangle, circle, pentagon or line tool. I must have toggled something off and I can not find what it could be. Please help.

go to your swatches pallete and see if it has black selected for the outline color. It sounds like you have no fill/no line selected.
