When following the directions to the best of my ability to make hyperlinks in InDesign, so that they are operable in the PDF export, they do not show up in the PDF file. I am checking the Show Hyperlink box in the PDF export dialogue. What am I missing? In InDesign everything seems fine with creating the hyperlinks, but they do not transfer into the PDF.

Unable to make hyperlinks show up in PDF

In your ID document, before exporting, choose Window > Hyperlinks to open the Hyperlinks palette.
From the palette menu, choose New Hyperlink
Destination.
Choose URL from the Type pop-up menu.
Name the destination and type the URL to which you
want to link.
Repeat for each URL.
Now Export to PDF.
When in doubt, deny all terms and defnitions.
