unable to logon to the Project server through out web access!

Please somebody helps me;

I'am in the charge of the installation and configuration of MS project server and share point on the company's intranet by tomorrow! I set it up but now just can logon with the Administrator of the MS projects but any other user, even I create a user in the project server itself and chose the project authentication but unsuccessful! how can I make it for Active Dir. users to be able to logon?
Another maybe silly question (sorry I'm just a network admin and I had nothing to do with such things before) what's the relation between project server and share point and is there any special configuration needed to be done to have both? (except what you enter during project installation about share point)

Hi Score1000,

Logging into Project Server have 2 ways.
1) Via Project Professional
2) Via PWA(Internet Explorer)

Since you can login as administrator, you can create account by go to admin --> manage users and groups
Under users, choose add user.

I would suggest using Project Server Authentication for a start. After entering all information, choose the group he belongs to and save the changes. Next try logging in VIA PWA. If successfully, create the user account on project professional.

For a start, i suggest you read a file call psread10.htm which is found on the server computer. After which i would suggest reading up on server deployment in msdn website.

but I have done all above, still can not login with both method of authentication with an error like: wrong username and password!

Hi Score1000,

We found that if you create a user and opt for windows authentication, but change it to PWA authentication, you will never be able to log in using that ID. Destroy the accounts you have set up by merging them with a "dump" account and deactivating it. Use the admin screens to clean all possible tasks assigned to the users you a have scrapped. Then create the users again using the correct authentication method you require. That should work.

Windows authentication is the best, you just have to click the left link on the start up web page.

I have a question here. You login via PWA or Project Professional?

In either way, you need to match their accounts. Meaning, you have created a user call User1 and choose him to be authenicated by windows. Then, whenever you click on internet explorer and select your server site, you will be able to automatically login.

Then, when you are trying to login via project professional, you need to create an account on project professional. When you are creating the account for User1, please choose windows authenication.
