I have a Novell 5.1 network setup and am unable to login to Novell using the dos client. We login under dos to map a drive to the network to ghost machines. Logging in is not a rights issue, I have admin access. Does the login.exe use bindery to login to the server? If so, does this have to be enabled on the network? Thanks in advance.

Hi

Check that the NDS is enabled in the NET.CFG. without this it will not login as you mentioned.

When the VLMs load, do you get a preferred server? Does the F: map to a server?

Try logging in using LOGIN4 using the full distinguished name, not just the username. -----------------------------------------------------
