We have just created a new image of a server using symantec system recovery 7, and restored it onto a new server. It restored ok (seemingly), and when it gets to the login screen we are unable to log in using any of the domain users.

I tried to change the domain admin password by going into directory services restore mode and using the srvany fix. It hasn't worked and we cannot find any solutions online.

Any ideas?

How old was the image? There are some functions of the AD that will cause a DC to "expire" after a certain amount of time offline.

The image was a day old. We had created this backup especially to restore.
