Hello,

We have a BCM 400, which has just lost connection. By that, I mean the physical network LAN connection shows positive connection and traffic, however, the BCM cannot be pinged by its ip address. Also, when trying to login via com port 1, no welcome screen comes on. I have made sure that the proper settings for the serial port are correct. Lastly, I have tried logging in using a crossover cable and laptop to LAN 2. IP address on the laptop is set to 10.10.11.9 with subnet 255.255.255.0. When connected to the BCM, I am still unable to bring up the interface on the browser, and unable to ping it.

Please help! Thanks in advance!

Is your voicemail working? What release of software is on the system? Sounds like you may have the base function tray issue. If you cold boot the system (or reset via the front panel reset button), are you able to talk to it again?
