I have set up a 4 computer network, each connecting to a 16 port switch. The DC is connected into port 1. When you connect either computer to the switch, the computer says 'Connected at 10Mb/s'. However, neither one of the computers can detect the other, or the DC. I know its set up right, because it all worked fine untill i moved the systems about, and connected it all back up, pleas help.

open a command prompt on one of your workstations (start, run, cmd), type ipconfig /all
-or- in windows 98, start, run, winipcfg
see if you're actually getting an ip address from the server or router. It's the best place to start.

Are you able to get on the internet?
