Hi all,

I am a newbie in BO, and I was trying to perform my second installation of it... everything was going ok when I tried to start it....

Sleeping 90 seconds before enabling the ports...
Creating session manager...
Logging onto CMS...
err: Error: Couldn't logon to CMS
err: Error description: The system otator01 can be contacted, but there is no Central Management Server running at port 6400.

Then I ran the cmsdbsetup.sh script and got it:

Business Objects

Current CMS Data Source: DPDB

err: Error: Failed to get cluster name.
err: Error description: Unable to load clntsh

select (Select a Data Source)
reinitialize (Recreate the current Data Source)
copy (Copy data from another Data Source)
changecluster (Change current cluster name)
selectaudit (Select an Auditing Data Source)

By my limited knoledge about BO I guess that I need to assign $ORACLE_HOME/lib is in the LD_LIBRARY_PATH for the user that will run the CMS.

Well I thought I knew how to do it but seems that I dont know....or its not the solution....

Does anyone have a suggestion on it?

Tks in advance,
Joao Telles

What OS are you running on?

-Dell

A computer only does what you actually told it to do - not what you thought you told it to do.

Hi,
First of all tks for the reply....

Im using Solaris.

I dont think I mentioned it but I had to make a link between the old Oracle library and the new one (because I upgrade Oracle to its version 10)

Tks,
J

Unfortunately, I'm not going to be able to help you with this one as I'm only familiar with the Windows install.

You might try asking this question in the Business Objects Solutions forum here:
I hate to send you to another forum, but you would probably also get a good response on BOB here:

Tks anyway....I will look over on this bob forum and see if I find anything there...
