Unable to launch Pagemaker 6.5 on Mac

Pagemaker 6.6 won't launch on Mac OS9.
Was running fine then would not open new document but would only open existing documents, and now won't launch application at all - just flashes the menu options!.

Tried reinstalling but still won't launch.

Would appreciate steps to uninstall - what should I trash before installing?

Help would be much appreciated

Just for info......
This looked like an application problem as only Pagemaker seemed to be affected (Photoshop, Illustrator etc all worked ok).

However we discovered that if we booted up the Mac from the System Disk Pagemaker would run using the OS on the disk. After running disk first aid and Nortons Disk doctor all to no avail, we did a back up,erase hard disk and system restore and re loaded the software.

Drastic but all works fine now and we have a "clean" Mac.

Thanks to anyone who applied any grey matter to this.

Thanks for posting your solution!

I knew PM Win works better on a clean install or a computer with well maintained system files - I now know this applies to Macs too! Thanks.
