unable to launch network general sniffer infinitream 4.2 console app

I am having a issue when I try to launch network general sniffer infinitream 4.2 console application on my windows XP desktop. The application never shows up on my screen. When I check my task manager I see that the application snifferinfinistream on my processes tab, but I see that the process is not showing up on the applications tab of the task manager. Can someone please help me with a resolution to this issue. Tried reinstalling it atleast 10 times until now and the same thing repeats itself. Any help with this issue is greatly appreciated.
