I have NAV Corporate edition 8.1 I am trying to install it using the installation client program on a WinXP Service pack2 laptop.
It starts installing but when the installation bar is almost full the installation percent start moving back.

It looks like NAV is installed but is not. I also checked on the regestry triying to find for NAV entries but nothing is there.
Any tip to solve this problem.

Here's a link for creating a log file, which should help you!

Also, make sure you are administrator or have admin rights to the entire file system.

Liveupdate or lack of can also be a factor. If it is there already, remove it. If it isn't, you might search symantec to download it.

Please always take the time to backup any and all data before performing any actions suggested for ANY problem, regardless of how minor a change it might seem. Also test the backup to make sure it is intact.

thanks

At the beginning we used Symantec client installation is seems like was installed but it was not.

Now we are getting an error 1920 not privileges to start a system service and modified a registry key.

Surfing on internet I found this error is caused by a bad uninstall process of NAV. And there are two possible tools to fix this problem.

The tools are RNAV2003 and sevint.exe. we tried with both but the same error 1920 stills. Also we tried to removed it manually as Symantec said at
but we still having the problem…..any idea ??

Try the local administrator account, even if the account you are using has admin rights.

You have the corporate edition, do you have a support contract so you can call them?
