Unable to install Mcafee 7.0

An message appears when attempting to install VirusScan 7.0 . It claims that a previous version exists and need to be removed before it can install. The old version is nowhere to be found. How can I get around this?

Go to and look for the manual uninstallation of previous versions of VirusScan. BTW, what version did you have installed previously? AVChap
... take my advice, I don't use it anyway!
