I have searched for information on this error throughout the web, and all information I've found seems to apply to old versions of Visual C++ and older operating systems. (i.e.
I'm using Visual Studio 6.0 w/ the latest service pack, and Win2k Professional. I'm trying to access an older .mdb (Office 97) file via a Visual C++ program using the DAO interfact (specifically the CDaoDatabase MFC Class). The system has been working under NT4 for quite sometime, and I was able to migrate to a different Win2k box not long ago without issue. Thinking that this would go as smoothly on another box (let's say, the one that really matters, for instance...), I tried to migrate to another Win2k box, and I've run into this brick wall. I've installed Service Pack 2, the latest MDAC components, installed the DAO 3.6 distribution, all met with the same failure. I've run out of ideas unfortunately.... any ideas/help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks beforehand.
