Unable to get onto Internet Explorer

I recieve an error whenever I attempt to access the internet. With IE it gives the "Microsoft Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close." I went clicked details and will post in full if important, but basically they said
"Exception information
Code: 0xc0000005 Flags: 0x00000000
Record: 0x0000000000000000 Address:0x0000000001000a95e"

I HAD had a virus, but was able to delete it I believe.
I also have tried to "repair IE", "restore an older version", and done a complete uninstall and reinstall, and I still get the same problem.

Something obviously is not right with your system. The difficulty is that your specific error can be due to a lot of different reasons. As a good start, see faq608-4650

All of the utilities discussed in that FAQ can easily be placed on a floppy disk.

I encourage you to all use Google, and search under "Groups" I used the search term "windows ie 0xc0000005" and found a lot of possible help for your question as a return result.
