I have a user who, for no apparent reason, is suddenly unable to forward mail to other users. Notes gives the message "You are not authorized to perform that function". Nobody else has this problem. Anyone have any suggestions? We are running Notes and Domino 5.06a. Any help greatly appreciated!

Sounds lik an ACL problem. Check to make sure the user has the right access in the ACL (usually Designer or Manager) and that they have the type "Person" assigned.

If the ACL is OK maybe try refreshing or replacing the design of the database with the mail template you are using.

Hope this helps

Just make sure that you have the correct mailfile specified in the mail tab of the location document. If the wrong name is there, then you could be trying to forward a mail from a user that your id does not have access to.

I've seen this a lot if someone else has borrowed a users machine, changed the settings to match theirs and then left it. You can sign on with your own id & access you mail via the workspace but not using the shortcut icon - or forwarding mail.

Thnks guys, I was late in seeing that you had responded, and will try these suggestions first thing Monday morning. Will report on success/failure.
