unable to forward attachments

Sporatic I get a trouble call saing that the attachments received, upon forwarding the outlook/exchange drops the attachment.

I am running Exchange 5.5 sp3 on NT4sp6a. Clients: outlook2000 with sp2, and the files attached are doc or excell files and small.

You are one servicepack behind on your exchange server.
Verify the properties of mails that drops the attachments.
See if you see any differences. A sporadic error is the most difficult to troubleshoot.
