Two installations of a Crystal Reports program retrieving data from a MS Access data table return an error message "pdsmon.DLL cannot be found. Continue to open report for viewing only?" When the user clicks ok the message repeats a second time. Clicking ok then returns the following, "Run-time error "20532." Cannot find database DLL."
What can we do to work around the problem on these two machines?

PDSMON.dll is an active data driver, which usually means that the report was designed to receive its data from an applicatioin, not directly from the database.

You can convert the driver (Database - Convert Driver) to another driver, but only if the report takes all of its fields from one table (The active driver assembles a virtual table).

If you are looking for the file, it may actually be called p2smon.dll. pds is the 16 bit version and p2s is the 32 bit version. The messages aren't always updated for both names. [sig]
Ken Hamady- href= Reports Training by Ken Hamady
[/sig]
