How do you find a mailbox that is not listed in Modular Messaging?

We are running MM v2.0 and have an extension on the PBX 3300. If you look in the Mailbox Manager there is no extension 3300.

If I call 3300, I get a voicemail and can leave messages, but I cannot check them because I do not have the password and cannot change it, because I don't see the mailbox in MM.

If you need additional information to help let me know.

Thanks for all the help in advance!

It may not be that mailbox 3300 is really in the system. You need to bring up the OHV in live mode and call the number to see where it is really going to. 3300 may be a secondary ext number.

I am calling from ext 3636 to 3300. I do not see 3300 in the Mailbox Manager and cant seem to find any reference to it anywhere.

Thanks!
Brian

have you looked for the mailbox in the MSS ? Have you pulled a get config from the MSS to the mailbox manager ? Do you really have station 3300 as it is setting the lamp and not getting an error back from the PBX.

Im not that familiar with Modular Messaging (Im use to Audix). What is MSS and how would i get to it?

Sorry for the newbie question!

Thanks!

I answered my own question....I do a disp st 3300 and it is there...I can not do a get config from the MSS, its tells me: "config" is not a vail option.

I have setup a phone at my desk with the ext. 3300 and the light is on. when someone calls 3300, the phone rings.

you do the get config from mailbox manager.

You right click on the mm server name and do a get config and run now and save.

If you do not have the login for the MSS then you may want to ask your BP what the login is to it.

The mailbox 3300 was added from the MSS and not mailbox manager and that is why you do not see it. Or it is out of sync

Thank you KenMeans! That did it. As soon as I did the get config, the mailbox appeared.
