On the Meridian Attendant PC, there is a function you can use to drag an extension to an envelope icon which should transfer the incoming call to the extension's voicemail.

In our case, when you try to transfer, it goes to the system's main attendant menu(for off hours)...I cannot find anything in the meridian docs on how to trouble shoot this.
We have 3 virtual feature keys for voicemail and I've tried changing the dial up number, but this doesn't help.(We tie into an older Octel 100 system).

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I haven't used the attendantPC but if you know how you do it manually you would need those same steps setup in the attendand PC application. For Example:

With caller on line, dial voice mail ext xxxx, press tone key, dial users mailbox number xxxx, rls

Thanks for the reply....I'm not sure if there is a manual method for xferring to VM...there are like i said 3 virtual feature keys and there is also a "Toolbar" with a Dial function and Direct to Voicemail function. None of the Help docs in the Console offer any info on this, nor is there anything in depth on the Nortel site's PDF of the manual...

I will try to look into the properties of the 3 virtual kys and hope they are somehow tied into this Toolbar VM icon...

Also, in your opinion, is an Opt11c with a voicebridge to an Octel 100 a decent set up or is it lame?

Thanks again for the tips.
