I'm having problems with a Paradox db that was created by someone else. I am not familiar with Paradox. I have worked a lot with MS access though. The person that created this D no longer works for the company and I am unable to ask him questions.

From what I gather there is a form that populates a table with daily sales info. In design view I can see the 'account' column is tied to an account field in an account table. It is set to lookup that field. The datatype in the account table is set to alpha. When I try to manually enter the account name in the form it works for accounts that are only numbers. When I type in an account that also has alpha characters it won't allow me to type in an alpha character only numbers. When I hit ctrl-spacebar it allows me to pick an account with alpha characters It just won't let me type it in.

When I try to type an alpha character it I get an error "Invalid character(s) in this field".
