Unable to enable email scan Mcafee

Recently installed Mcafee virus software on system, and I am uable to enable the email scan either from the setup or quick enable feature. It is continually "greyed out" Is it possible that having both Netscape Mail and Outlook Express configured to receive mail is the problem. They are Obviously not running at the same time but the fact that they are both set up on the system. I am running Win98.
 
I think that if you read the 'fine print', that feature only works with Outlook (not Outlook Express). If you don't have Outlook that feature will be unavailable.
 
According to fine print it should work with all email systems. netscape 4-7 and outlook express, mozilla etc
 
you must have the mail client open to ungrey the box. open outlook then open the virusscan then check the box.
