I have an Access database which I recently upsized to SQL Server using the Upsizing Wizard.

When I link to these tables in another Access database, the tables open up OK, but the data is read-only. I can look at the tables in SQL Server, and they are read-write there.

Is there a way to move an Access database to a SQL Server database and keep them as read-write?

Please advise.

Thanks.

In order for a linked table to be updatable in Access, the table must have a Primary Key defined in SQL server.

Once the primary keys have been defined on SQL Server, you will need to relink the tables in Access in order for Access to identify the keys.
