Unable to distill .ps file

Everytime I try to distill a postscript file through Acrobat Distiller v5 running on a Windows PC using Pass4Press job options I get the following postscript error log:

Is anybody able to interpret what this error is indicating is wrong with my postscript file ?

Is it all .ps files or just one particular one. If it's all, you might try creating a new Distiller setting - replicating the output of your new one. If it's just one, you could have a problem with the original doc.

If you're printing the ps files and then having a problem distilling, you might want to check the settings for the ps printing, making sure you use Adobe pdf as the ppd if possible.

If you're inheriting the ps files, it could be something as simple as a bad/missing font or something the creator did wrong.

2 quick checks are to: 1. Try creating the pdf from the original doc through the pdf writer in your printer selection window. If that works, it's a problem with the ps and/or Distiller. If not, it's aproblem with the doc. 2. Try distilling using one of the canned Distiller setting like Screen or Print. If that works, your press quailty setting are problematical.

Just wanted to updated this thread with the solution we found:

In the process of creating the postscript file we changed the data format from binary to ASCII. Once we did that, the file distilled and flightchecked without any problems.
