Running a MS server 2003 domain. This is a very simple small business envirenment. Local XP (SP2) workstations are unable to disconnect "some" of their localy mapped drives, while others work fine. These maps are active shares, so it can't be a dead end issue. I have tried the right click-disconnect method (Cannot find drive) and command line - net use x: /delete. Both without success. Anyone seen this oddity?

Any help is appreciated,

Thanks

Yes, I've encountered it before. Search the registry for the drive letter or share name and you will need to delete it from the registry.

I believe the path is HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\lanmanserver\Shares

I hope you find this post helpful.

Regards,

Mark
