Hello,

Running into a little issue that need ideas on how to resolve and was hoping for some help. I have a 3300 with prefix dialing digit of "9". Users are complaining that when they view the call history and get the number they are unable to dial the number directly from the call history logs as it requires a prefix digit.
I know there is an option where they can go in and insert the prefix before calling out, however, a lot of the times the users forget to insert the prefix.
Is there anyway we can have the system automatically insert the "9" when calling from the call history logs?

Your help input is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Rashida

Check the system options. There is something there about applications and prefix.

I'd tell you a UDP joke but I'm afraid you won't get it. TCP jokes are the best because you always get them.

I checked it out could not find anything that was related.

On 5320, 5330, 5340 and 5360 IP Phones, the Dial softkey under the Call History application does not add the prefix digits that are programmed in the "Outgoing External Call Prefix For Applications" field in the System Options form. Users must use the keypad to add the outgoing prefix digit(s) to the number before pressing Dial.

Yup - as above

An alternate solution that I have used occasionally is to program ARS so that it does not require a prefix
