Unable to deploy reports in Visual Studio 2008

Hi,

I am unable to successfully deploy reports from Visual Studio 2008. Report Manager is available, the project property pages in Visual Studio are correctly configured and the reports build ok. But I get the following error message whenever I deploy a report. I welcome any useful information. Thanks in advance.

Have you done the checks it suggets.

Is reporting services installed on LocalHost?
Is the path

http://localhost/ReportServer

the correct one?
is the the service started on th emachine?
Do you have access to it on the SQL server

Have any other reports been deployed to this server or is htis a new install?
