Unable to delete specific favorites files

Recently downloaded IE5, sp2. The deleted files seems to go away, but when I go back into the favorites later, the files are there. Any suggestions please?.Thanks.

Favorites is also accessible in the Windows directory, perhaps it would work there.
Right click Start and choose explore...
