I've got an older Compaq ML350 server that was upgraded to windows 2003 server standard by somone else; on the system drive is a page file I am unable to delete. I have set the memory settings to no page file on the system partition, rebooted, however its still there and I cannot delete it in windows explorer, it gives me an error which I cannot recall at the moment.I deperately need to remove this page file to free up needed disk space, the page file is 760MB. Any ideas? I cannot find anything of relevance in the event logs.

Has the new page file appeared on the new volume and did you definatly select 'set' after changing the value to 0 on C: rather than just ok?

You could use Movefile to delete the file but i'm not sure what the result would be if Windows still want's to use the file it might just recreate it (or worse).

When you are the IT director, it's your job to make sure the IT works. If it does work they know already and if it doesn't, they don't want to hear your pathetic excuses.
