there is a file in my prog files name "xupiter." i don't know how it wound up in my comp, but for some odd reason i haven't been able to delete it. i tried everything, like using norton anti-virus "wipe info," evidence eliminator, and few other. nothing works. is there anyone who knows how to fix this problem? i would appreciate it a lot.

Use Spybot. See the link near the end of this thread. thread760-465000

Hello.

Xupiter is a program that has been downloaded from the internet. It is a browser toolbar and right now the United States government is investigating what is is and where it came from...and how to delete it.

I just did a search on my computer for it. Nothing came up. I would like to hear more about it

Also, This is an ActiveX. You can stop activeX 's from downloading by running Internet Options in the control panel. Select the Security tab in Internet Propertiaes and choose Promt for downloading Assigned/unassigned ActiveX programs. I always see the menu popup from Xupiter.com asking to install this ActiveX controller. I always say no, and call the police. I do not know what this file is, but the F.B.I is investigating it's origins.
