Had this problem for a while now.
I had switched to developing asp applications for a while and when I came to make modifications to past win applications I found that debug had stopped working with the message above.
I have tried practically everything,
- re-registering components as suggested by Microsoft
- Uninstalling Visual Studio .NET 2002
- Fixing the installation
- Checking the PC is not in debug mode etc..
Nothing seems to help.
Running on W2K,
- MacAfee Anti Virus installed (this incidently caused problems with blanking out combo box data, switching buffer overflow protection fixed this.)
- Visual Studio 6.0 installed
- I am Administrator on my own box
- I installed Netbeans for a while until removing it (thought it might be a conflict but i'm sure this problem predated its installation).
- Ctrl-F5 still works, application just won't start with debugging.
Has anyone had similar problems, I've read through similar problems with ASP.NET debugging but my problem seems different.
Running out of ideas here....
