1) Rename the Desktop5.dsk and Cache.dsk file from your c:\lotus\notes\data folder. Start up the Notes client.
2) If that does not work, then your location document is possibly corrupt. Open the notes.ini file in your c:\lotus\notes folder. Look for the line that starts with "Location =" and delete the rest of the line after the equals sign. This will cause Notes to start with the first location document in your address book. Save and close the file and restart Notes.
3) If the above solution did not work, then the first location document is maybe corrupt. You can rename your address book in your c:\lotus\notes\data folder (the default filename is names.nsf) and create a new one. You will then have to recreate your old location document.
