Unable to create a script variable

I am haveing a problem with creating a script variable (Boolean or Voice Segment. When I enter the name of the script I am unable to add the reference scripts under the general tab, It will not allow me to enter the name. What may be causing this problem. I think this the reason that I can't validate the script. I am getting an error code (4 Code: 4100 Error: An undefined identifier is encountered)

You do not enter the script in the variable. Once you use a variable in a script it will show in the variable. This is too aid with deleting variables, they have to be removed from scripts before you can delete them.
