Hi Folks,

One of our computers was hit with a blackster bugs virus/spyware . Bugs crawing all over the screen. I was able to remove the offending file together with another file called ctfmonb.bmp all in the system32 folder. Ran both spyware and antivirus too. The computer was able to obtain the correct ip address from the DHCP server, but unable to access the internet.I can ping the server, loop back address
Operating System is XP w SP2. What could possibly be wrong?

Thanks in advance

check your hosts file, which is in a subdirectory a few levels down in your Windows directory .

check the pc's firewall to see if it is blocking .

Also, what happens when you do
