Unable to connect to remote host FTP Ugrade

We use FTP transfers to bring dpwn the DAT updates each week using our internet server running NS4.5sp1

Trying to perform an UPGRADE to retrieve the new scan engine connecting to ftp://ftp.nai.com/pub/antivirus/engine/4.x results in "unable to login to remote host" or "unable to connect to remote site" errors.

Ive tried this on various machines. Same thing happens. We neet to be able to automate this really, I could do it manually as I can connect to this site by typing the address into my web browser.

Anyone know why it fails to connect using the task from the NS console? Using anonymous ftp login.

AutoUpgrade means you're upgrading either the engine or the program itself. AFAIK, NAI DOES NOT HAVE an AutoUpgrade site on the Internet as this would defeat selling new versions

What you can do is just either download the SuperDAT files or the new VSE7 to an FTP folder and run the AutoUpgrade task there. BTW, if you use the SuperDATs, rename them to SETUP.EXE and download the AUTOUPG.ZIP file from the same page and extract them to the same FTP folder.
