When I go to Tools - Connect Database -
Fill out the credentials for my server. Test connection - Test Connection succeeded.
Click on OK - Get this error message -
Unable to connect to DB
It is only possible to connect to SQL Server Desktop Engine DB and MS Access DB with this version of Visual Studio.

Is this for real? How can I test the connection and it's fine but cannot use the connection?

Is your connection a shared connection or is it embedded in your test report?

Since I am quite new to this, I am not sure.

Could you point me in the right direction to test what type of connection it may be?

Thanks
