I have Samba 2.2.6 on a SCO Open Version 5. The password server was on the NT server. They installed a new 2003 SBS system. I changed the smb.conf file to point to the name of the new server & added the IP address and server name to the /etc/hosts file. I re-started samba.
The logs entry for users trying to connect to the Unix box are:
rpc_client/cli_netlogon NT_STATUS_NO_TRUST_SAM_ACCOUNT
rpc_client/CLI_logon auth2 challenge failed
smdb/password.c unable to setup PDC credentials to match SERVER01 error was:NT_STATUS_OK
smdb password: Domain password server not available
pass_db/pdp_smbpassword: Unable to open passdb database
I would appreciate any help as I have spent 3 days on this & I am getting no where.
Thanks
