unable to connect rsc Sun-Fire-480R

Hi all,

I have a Sun-Fire-480R. When i try to connect to the rsc i don't have answer form the rsc:

# telnet 192.168.10.53
Trying 192.168.10.53...


but the rsc is alive:

# ping 192.168.10.53
192.168.10.53 is alive

anyone can help me???

I must restart the rsc?

How can i do it?

Maybe telnet has been disabled.

Try using /usr/platform/SUNW,Sun-Fire-480R/rsc/rscadm help for a list of commands.

resetrsc will allow you to reset.

if i use resetrsc command, i would lost my rsc configuration? resetrsc -s i perfomance a soft reset, this option keep alive my rsc configuration?

You don't lose your configuration.
It just resets the rsc. You will experience a lockout for a couple of minutes until the rsc is reset.
