I have 3 domains that I work with - One main domain (Head Office) and 2 sales domains. Each with a Trust relationship.
From a sales domain I cannot find the workgroup server from the main domain. Yet I can ping the server from the sales domain. I have installed WINS and DNS and they are all running correctly.

Does anone have any ideas on how to connect from the sales domain into the main domain workgroup server??

Hi Jons1,
If you are trying to administer the other domains from the sales domains then you are out of luck - I have just spent ages trying to do the same thing and found this method:
If you wish to administer these other domains you must log into those domains with an admin password, however if you try this from a sales NT box, chances are you will be told that you cannot log in locally. To get over this, you should fire up user manager, select user rights, select log on locally and add the user name that you want to use to administer the other domain.
So from logged in at sales1, fire up user manager, select user rights->log on locally, add HEADOFFICE\admin_user then ok it all, shut down and log on as admin_user, selecting the HEADOFFICE domain. After a while (depending on the speed of your link) you should be allowed to log on and administer the domain.
Because of the hassle with this, we are moving to a single domain model very shortly - this should give us centralised user management and resource control.
Anyway, hope this helps
