I have a bizzare problem displaying a report in Crystal Enterprise. The report contains a subreport, and both are calling the same Oracle 8i stored procedure to access data.

The report works fine in Crystal IDE, but posted into Crystal Enterprise, it behaves differently.
1. Scheduling report runs and finishes successfully. An attempt to display it results in an error: "Unable to connect: incorrect logon parameters. File ~...." etc. When Refresh button is pressed, reports is displayed without any problem.

2. If instead of scheduling, a View option is selected, the report displayes without any problem.

Now, the subreport is placed in details section of the main report. I have tried put it into Page Header section, Page Footer section etc. The results are exactly the same as described above.
Did anybody hd encountered this problem?

Same post as yesterday, correct?

Same question comes to mind as yesterday, is the subreport linked? If not, are you setting the parameters for both the main report AND the subreport in CE?

If the subreport is linked, make sure that you link each main parameter to each sub parameter, and that you're using the proper connectivity (Oracle supplied ODBC will be problematic, you need to use the CR supplied Oracle ODBC).

I posted it into three groups, just to be sure. Thank you for the suggestions. subreport is linked, and - yes - i am using Crystal ODBC driver.
Hundreds reports were accumulated over last couple years. I've tracked my problem down to Crystal Enterprise bug, which supposedly would go away upon installation of Service Pack 1 for CE 9.0.

As a workaround,I defaulted output to Adobe Acrobat PDF.
Works like a charm.

Again, thanks for your time!
