I don't know how I arrived at this but when I try to edit or move a text box I get the following pop up
Unable to check out this file it may be in use by someone else.
I have obviously done something wrong but annoyingly I don't know what or how to correct it

...are you on a network using version cue?

...search indesign help files relating to "working with managed files"...

...also look into "sharing content between InCopy and InDesign" in the help files of indesign...
