Unable to cancel active session in arcserve 2000 v7.0

This is driving me crazy; I cannot delete a stuck active session in Arcserve2000 v7.0.

I’ve taken over this job recently and have the task or rescheduling the backups.
The error reads "This job is active, cannot be modified or rescheduled, or reads cannot be deleted.

Any help would be appreciated.

This should'nt be a problem !!!

Try deleting the job from
C:\program files\CA\Arcserveit\00000001.qsd

in this folder you'll have all the jobs associated to arcserve with their job Id's and delete the job you want to...

This should work and what is the OS ?
what is the build number for Arcserve?
what is the service pack for Arcserve
