Unable to browse / unable to view meta data

Hi there

Im getting this error whenever i try to view/browse data from either a dimension or a cube.

I can process all the cubes and dimensions fine. But on this Analysis server nothing seems to want to be shown via the analysis server manager application.

it returns Unspecified Error

Very weird..

Does anyone have any ideas whats going wrong here?

Summary:

OS Windows 2000 Server
MS SQL 2000 with service pack 3a
Analysis server (the one that is supplied with the Sql Server)
Cubes and dimensions processing is fine.
viewing / browsing the data in the manager does not work!!! unspecified error

Sanj,

Make sure the Analysis Server version is also SP3a. You can check it in Analysis Manager, Under the Console Root. Right Click on Analysis Servers and select About Analysis Services. You should see a version 8.00.760 and this should match the version of your SQL Server.
