Unable to Browse Microsoft and Antivirus Websites

Hi all,

Here's my problem, on a windows 2003 server:
1. I do an nslookup on microsoft.com and any antivirus site, nslookup is able to resolve the IP address
2. If i ping the names, ping says could not find host.
3. Moreso, i cannot browse these sites.

I believe this is caused by a virus, i want to know what specific virus this is. Anyone faced the same problem?

Many, many forms of malware do this. It could be nearly anything from the past couple of years, or more likely, multiple pieces of malware.

What antivirus & antimalware tools have you tried to clean it up and what did they find?
