So I am having a problem routing from my Exchange 2003 server to my Exchange 2010 server. I followed the instructions listed at the end of this post

to create the Exchange 2003 to 2010 conduit, and the mail does queue up into that mail queue. However at that point the mail queue says "Unable to bind to the destination server in DNS". Both the servers are internal, let's call them

mail1.mydomain.com (Exchange 2003 server)
mail2.mydomain.com (Exchange 2010 server)

They both have internal RDNS records and A name records. What could I be missing?

Do both servers share the same DNS server? When each server pings the other's name, do they both resolve properly? Both by netbios name and FQDN? Are you sure that one of them isn't accidentally trying to access the other by a public name and not an internal one?
